Our own wines

Three varieties of vines have been planted in the Quoins organic vineyard. They are all Soil Association certified organic wines:

Madeleine Angevine – a popular variety for production in the English climate. It produces a dry, crisp white wine and is excellent for drinking with fish , chicken or vegetarian dishes.

Orion – a new variety developed in Germany for cooler climates producing a wine with a fresh pleasant soft acidity and delicious asparagus flavours rather like Sauvignon Blanc.

Rondo – A new variety which is a cross from Manchurian and Austrian varieties which is performing well in the UK. It produces an intense dark red wine with high natural alcohols.

Little Ashley Vineyard

The neighbouring Little Ashley Vineyard is also under Quoins management (but not organic certified). This vineyard was planted in 1985 and it was the mature quality of the wine produced and the comments of those that sampled it that stimulated the planning and planting of Quoins vineyard. Madeleine Angevine from this vineyard is currently available as well as the variety Schonburger which produces a full and fruity medium dry white wine with a soft peachy taste and a slight spiciness.

All wines are suitable for Vegans
