In August the vineyard became fully certified as biodynamic by Demeter. This complements our existing organic approach, certified by the Soil Association. The main aims are to be fully self sufficient in production on the land itself, and to maintain the natural cycles and microflora in the soil and vegetation. The winery at Sedlescombe, which makes our wines for us, is also organic and biodynamic. We sometimes sell some of our grapes to them depending on the season, while making sure we still maintain good stocks of all our wines.
